CMS for separating air

Carbon molecular sieve is mainy used in PSA N2 gas generator to separate air and get high purity N2 gas.

The air separation capacity of carbon molecular sieve relies on the different speeds of diffusion of gas passing CMS micro-hole and different adsorbabilities.

Under balanced condition, the adsorption amount of CMS to oxygen and nitrogen is very close, while the speed of oxygen molecule passing through the micro-hole structure is much faster than the speed of nitrogen molecule.

This principle is the base of CMS nitrogen generation. At the mpment far before the balanced condition occurs, using PSA process flow, nitrogen is separated out from air. So CMS might be called the core of PSA N2 generator.
